X Consult is an independent and specialized engineering and consultancy company in the field of oil and gas (hydrocarbon) measurement.
We are experts in designing, building and installing flow metering computer systems for clients around the globe including: OEMs, system integrators, skid fabricators, EPCs and operators.
Background
We are a small ‘business’ based in Malton located on the North York Moors, UK. We have a long history of embedded working for a local specialist systems integrator of metering computer systems to the oil and gas industry.
Graham Shail established the company in 1996. Graham was the brains behind the XCL products. He had close relationships with Alderley Systems and Solartron ISA. He was owner/director at Enterlec in Pickering and prior to that worked as an engineer at Spectra-Tek UK.
Charles Smith joined XCL in 2007. For many years Charles supported Swinton Technology as a specialist Systems Engineer. Prior to that he worked for Spectra-Tek / Daniel Ind. / Emerson Flow Computer Division.
Nowadays Charles can be found supporting a much wider client base with bespoke services and niche products.
